Announcement of the start of the academic year

The ceremonial class for first-year students begins on Monday, 30 September 2019 at 9.00 am in the Amphitheater. According to the schedule exercises will start from the second week, from 07 October 2019. We wish you a happy and successful start of the new academic year.

Invitation to participate in an international competition
Dear students,
Students’ Association of ISM University of Management and Economics from Lithuania invites you to participate in a social business case competition Creative Shock, where you could win 2000 euros and a round-trip flight to any destination in the world.
Creative Shock attracts youth from all over the world to educate them about the concept of social business, its implementation, and impact. Participants have to solve two social business cases in the preliminary rounds. The best 10 teams gather in Vilnius, Lithuania, to solve the final case. They will be competing for the Grand Prize - 2000 euros and Turkish Airlines tickets to any country of their choosing. A more detailed description can be found here.
By participating in Creative Shock, you will be able to apply your business management, marketing, and creativity skills and widen your knowledge about social business. In addition, this is a possibility to gain international experience as well as see the impact of your work as some cases are real-life social business problems.
How to participate:
Register here individually or form a team of 3 to 4 members until the 6th of October 20:00 (UTC+03:00, Eastern European Summer Time Zone)
- Pass the two preliminary rounds
- TOP 10 teams will be invited to the finals in Vilnius on the 28th of November - 1st of December for a 4-day final event

Possibility of employment in Komercijalna Banka
The unemployed graduates of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka are hereby informed that Komercijalna Banka AD Banja Luka, as a long-standing partner of the Faculty has offered the possibility of employment of a number of our graduates.
Interested candidates can submit their applications to the Faculty of Economics, and a CV must be submitted with the application. The selection of candidates will be done by responsible persons at the Bank.

Competition for the enrollment of students in the third enrollment term - First cycle studies
The competition for the enrollment of students in the first year of the first cycle studies in the academic year 2019/2020 has been announced. The text of the competition can be downloaded here.
Registration of candidates starts on 18 September 2019 and ends on 20 September 2019 (documents are received every working day).
The entrance exam will be taken on 23 September 2019 starting at 9.00 am in Room 1 of the Faculty of Economics.
The preliminary results of the competition will be announced by 24 September 2019 until 2.00 pm, and the final results on 25 September 2019.
Enrollment of the admitted candidates will start on 30 September 2019, and end on 04 October 2019.

Instructions for payment for technical services and taking the entrance exam can be obtained at the Student services of the Faculty or downloaded here.
Candidates should submit the following documentation to the Student services:
- Original diploma of completed four-year education;
- Original High School Certificates of Completion from First to Fourth Grade;
- Birth certificate;
- Certificate of citizenship not older than six months;
- Proof of payment of the entrance exam fee.

Survey on the selection of elective subjects on the second, third and fourth year of the first cycle studies
We would like to inform all students who will be eligible to enroll in the second, the third or fourth year of study, or who will repeat the second or third year of study that the survey on the selection of elective subjects in the academic year 2019/2020 will take place between 16 September 2019 and 27 September 2019 until 1.00 pm.
Students of the third and fourth year of study who study under the 2007 Curriculum may, if they wish, continue their education under the 2014 Curriculum. You can download the study program change form here.
If there are not enough students who repeat the third and fourth year of study under the 2007 Curriculum, the classes will be organized according to the mentoring principle.

Call for applications "Western Balkans Meet Japan – A Bridge Into Future"
We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) have announced the Call for Proposals for the project "Western Balkans Meet Japan – A Bridge Into Future". The deadline for the submission of applications is 15 September 2019 by 11:59 pm. The visit will be organized for 15 students between 13 and 21 November 2019. Graduate or postgraduate students, aged 20-25, who come from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia are eligible to participate.

Final results of the entrance exam in the second enrollment term and instructions for the enrollment
Final list for the enrollment in the first year of the first cycle studies in the academic year 2019/2020 in the second enrollment term can be downloaded here.
Enrollment of admitted candidates will start on 16 September 2019 and end on 20 September 2019.
It is necessary to submit the following documentation to the Student services:
- Two photos (50x60). Photos must be same as photos for personal documents;
- The enrollment, application form and index you will receive at the Student services;
- Medical certificate with the opinion of a psychologist;
- Proof of payment of tuition, semester and enrollment materials. You will receive payment instructions at the Student services or here.

New at the Faculty of Economics: a multidisciplinary study program
Starting from the academic year 2019/2020 the Faculty of Economics offers a new multidisciplinary study program entitled "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management". Since this is a study program developed within the implementation of the international ERASMUS+ project, THE FIRST GENERATION OF STUDENTS IS EXCLUDED FROM PAYING TUITION.
The new study program "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management" is a one-year program of the second cycle studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka.
The study program "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management" was developed through the work of professors and associates of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka, with continuous consultations and audits of partner universities and institutions from the Netherlands, Germany and Austria.
The study program "Cultural Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management" is an answer to the needs of the labor market and the needs of the Republic of Srpska for development and progress. The purpose of this study program is to monitor the dynamic changes in the field of cultural heritage and cultural tourism management, as one of the fast-growing sectors of the tourism industry.
Due to its multidisciplinary approach, this program is intended for students who have completed the first cycle studies in economics, but also in other fields, who are interested in learning more about the concepts, methods and tools applicable in the field of cultural tourism.
By mastering this study program, students are trained for:
- Responsible planning, organizing, running and managing of institutions in the field of cultural tourism (cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations dealing with cultural tourism, tourist organizations);
- Starting an independent business in the field of cultural tourism and creative industries;
- Mastering the qualitative and quantitative methods, techniques, procedures of the entire research process of all segments of the tourism market, with an emphasis on the cultural tourism market;

Preliminary results of the entrance exam
Preliminary results of the entrance exam for the first cycle studies in the second enrollment term can be downloaded here. In the study program Economics and Business Management, the entrance exam was passed by the candidate under number 1. In the study program Business Informatics, the entrance exam was passed by candidates starting from number 1 to number 6. In the study program Economics and Business Management the candidate under number 2 did not pass the entrance exam.
You can submit a written request for insight into the tests on Tuesday 10 September 2019 from 8.30-10.00 am to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Economics, and the tests can be viewed the same day in the period from 10.00-11.00 am, in the office number 010, ground floor.
The final results will be announced after the appeal deadline, on Wednesday, 11 September 2019 by 2.00 pm.
