Library of the Faculty of Economics, just like libraries in other higher education institutions, is a closed-type specialized library, intended for students, teachers and associates.
The library has 17,448 library units from scientific fields in which the studies are conducted. For the studies of second and third cycle, in addition to library units, projects, doctoral, master and graduate theses, the Faculty has also provided subscription to scientific six journals in fields of study programs of the second and third cycles. The library uses a computer and multi-function photocopying machine.
To become a member of the library, undergraduate or graduate student must produce an index.
Publications can be borrowed for a period of fifteen days, provided that after the predicted deadline expires it may be extended and the use of publication retained for another fifteen days. Student lends a publication from the library in person and by his signature on the library book card ensures proper use and return of the borrowed publication.
Publications that are not taken out from the library, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers and projects - can be used in a reading room. The reading room is open to users on weekdays from 08:00 to 21:00 hours; it has 35 desks and, in the opinion of students and fellow librarians from other faculties, it is the best place for learning at Banja Luka University. In addition to the reading room on the ground floor, a new reading room with the capacity of 39 seats was built on the fourth floor.
