Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka was established by the Decision of the Steering Committee of the University of Banja Luka, No: 03/04-3.767-4 /15 of 13 March 2015, as a sub-organizational unit of the Faculty of Economics.
All those who have earned BA, MA or PhD degrees at the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka can join the Alumni Centre.
The purpose of establishing the Alumni Centre of graduate students, masters and doctors of Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka is to achieve continuous connection with graduate students, institutions and the Economics through cooperation, and in the interest of development of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, improvement of the quality of teaching and research process, improvement of the exchange of experiences between the Economics and scientific community, affirmation of scientists and researchers, realization of projects that are socially useful and stimulate employment, economic growth,

Alumni Centre has a logo. The decision about the logo design layout is adopted by the Scientific-Educational Council of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka.
Mission
The mission of the Alumni Centre is to create a permanent connection between the Faculty and its students after their graduation. One of the segments that the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka has lacked is connection of students who have completed studies, in the form of Alumni Centre, which brings multiple benefits such as networking of all students in the form of an information system Alumni, possibility of career development and lifelong learning.
Re-establishment of contacts as well as exchange of experiences and knowledge among graduate students of the Faculty who are in the same or similar profession, can greatly contribute to improving the quality of study programs of the Faculty of Economics.
Vision and Goal
The main goals of existence and work of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka are:
- establishment and maintenance of a permanent connection between the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka and its students after their graduation;
- inviting all former students of the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka to join the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics in order to enable their mutual cooperation;
- creation of a database of graduate students, masters and PhDs of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka,
- improvement of the work of the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka as an educational and scientific and research institution in terms of possessing adequate and timely information that can be provided by the members of the Alumni Centre;
- development of cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and companies and institutions in which former students are engaged;
- motivation and promotion of members of the Alumni Centre in the context of encouraging professional and scientific and research activities;
- participation in international scientific and professional exchange and establishment of cooperation with Alumni associations from the region and beyond;
- affirmation of the position and role of economic profession in the development of society;
- assessment of the quality of the teaching process according to a survey done by former students.
Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka is responsible for:
- enabling all graduate students, masters and doctors of Economic Sciences of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, on-line registration (through custom made software and website), fast and efficient access to information and establishing mutual contacts;
- publishing of the Alumni Centre's magazine that will follow the current economic developments, projects involving the Faculty and members of the Alumni Centre, and the latest scientific research achievements of members of the Alumni Centre;
- organization of round tables, seminars and conferences that will address the current economic and social issues;
- organizing training programs and training for members of the Alumni Centre in the context of being better informed about available information techniques and packages, and quantitative methods that can facilitate and significantly enhance their work and development in the field of scientific research activities;
- organizing meetings of members of the Alumni Centre with students in order to transfer them their practical knowledge and experience;
- organizing meetings of members of the Alumni Centre (e.g. annual celebrations and marking important dates for the Alumni Centre and the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka and the like.);
- cooperation with other Alumni associations and other organizations related to the economic profession in the country and abroad (e.g. Association of Economists, Association of Accountants and Auditors, Entrepreneurship Center, etc.);
- providing support to members of the Alumni Centre to promote business operations of enterprises and institutions in which they work, for educational and research initiatives;
- designing travel programs in terms of professional training of members of the Alumni Centre;
- providing special privileges in terms of access to the library, possibility to search the databases (scientific and research information), online catalogues, bibliographies, etc.
In order to assess the quality of teaching process in the study programs at the Faculty of Economics, surveys of graduate students will be conducted periodically for the purpose of their evaluation of teaching, i.e. receiving an answer to the question: How much has their knowledge gained at the Faculty contributed to the development of their careers in practice. The conducted research will aim at improving the quality of teaching process that will be one of the segments for the accreditation of study programs that are available at the Faculty of Economics.
The research will be carried out on an adequate sample for each study program separately.
In order to achieve objectivity of obtained research results, the data processing will be performed by external unit (other higher education institution, institutes or centres in the country or abroad) which is qualified of performing these and similar tasks.
Membership in the Alumni Centre, Rights and Obligations
All those who have earned BA, MA or PhD degrees at the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka can become regular members of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics.
One can become a regular member by voluntarily signing the application form or through online registration, by which he/she accepts the objectives, rights and obligations established by a special act of the Alumni Centre.
Access (membership) to the Alumni Centre is free of charge.
A natural person who has contributed in particular to the development and reputation of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka, by their work and commitment, can become an honorary member, which will be regulated by a special act.
A member of the Alumni Centre of the University of Banja Luka has the right to:
- make suggestions and give opinions on the work of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics;
- launch initiatives for the work of Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics;
- be informed about the work of Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics;
- suggest new honorary members of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics.
A member of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka is obliged to:
- pursue the objectives and tasks of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics;
- implement the decisions and conclusions of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics;
- promote the work of the Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics.
The Alumni Centre of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka can give recognitions and commendations to its members, individuals and legal persons for the special contribution to the work of the Alumni Centre, which will be regulated by a special act.
Director of the Alumni Centre
Alumni Centre is managed by the Director, who is appointed by the Scientific-Educational Council of the Faculty from teachers or associates of the Faculty of Economics at the proposal of the Dean of the Faculty, for a period of four years.
The Director of the Alumni Centre is Professor Milenko Krajisnik.
The Director of the Alumni Centre has the task to monitor and coordinate the work of the Alumni Centre, primarily on the development of a database of graduate students, masters and PhDs of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka.
How to Become a Member of Alumni?
A graduate student who completed studies at the Faculty of Economics, and wants to become a member of the Alumni Centre can fill in an application form and submit it to the address of the Faculty of Economics, Majke Jugovica 4, 78000 Banja Luka, or send it via e-mail to alumni@efbl.org.
