According to the updated Webometrics report, the University of Banja Luka advanced 246 places between January and July 2019 and is currently ranked 3161st on the list of world universities and second on the list of universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The University of Banja Luka has been ranked second from July 2018 when it comes to universities in BiH. Concerning the universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in front of the University of Banja Luka is the University of Sarajevo.
The first 26 places in the world in the Webometrics ranking list are mostly held by US universities. The first is Harvard, which has held that position for years, immediately followed by the Stanford University, and they are closely followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). When it comes to European universities, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge ranked best. As far as universities from Serbia are concerned, the best positions are taken by the University of Belgrade, the University of Novi Sad and the University of Niš.
The Webometrics list is an indicator of the internet visibility, presence, openness and excellence/citation of universities around the world. Webometrics is a world-renowned university ranking list that is developed and updated twice a year by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council.
The aim of the web indicators used in the Webometrics methodology is to provide a reliable and comprehensive assessment of the global performance of individual universities based on their activities and results present on the Internet, i.e. their relevance and impact. The Webometrics position of a university depends on the volume and quality of the accessible and transparent content that the academic institution produces, from highly cited web publications, to all other content including reports, conferences, theses, seminars, digital libraries, and other publications of the university and its faculties, departments, researchers and students. #ef_unibl #sigurnoNajbolji

Agreement on cooperation between Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka and the University of Banja Luka was signed
Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Chairman of the Management Board of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka Bosko Mekinjic, PhD, signed an agreement on business cooperation at the Rectorate on 15 July 2019.
As stated after the signing ceremony, this agreement envisages the engagement of the best students of the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and the Faculty of Security Science of the University of Banja Luka.
The rector of the University of Banja Luka, Professor Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, pointed out that one of the strategic objectives of the University was to cooperate with the corporate and provide adequate practice to students. He thanked the Komercijalna banka for its support. The rector also stressed that not only students and undergraduates of the Faculty of Economics will have the opportunity to practice in the Komercijalna banka but so will their colleagues from other faculties.
He added that the University will continue with these activities with all companies interested in cooperating and helping students prepare for their future profession and gain the competences they are required to have.
Chairman of the Management Board of Komercijalna banka Banja Luka, Bosko Mekinjic, said that this agreement constitutes a continuation of this bank’s previous cooperation with faculties, which was before focused primarily on the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law of the University of Banja Luka.
„We realize that there is a need for other profiles of experts in the banking sector. In this way, I believe that we will send a clear message to all students that studying and hard work pays off. This is another way of stopping young people leaving the Republic of Srpska and BiH“, Mekinjic said and added that this bank will certainly remain a reliable partner of the University of Banja Luka. He expressed hope that other institutions from the financial and banking sector will follow this example.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Vice Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation Professor Biljana Antunovic, PhD, and Member of the Management Board of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka Dragana Vujicic-Stefanovic, MSc.
