Heavy course loads, first colloquium, exams… The new academic year brings a lot of novelty, and the right answers are often with students who have already been through it all. The Faculty of Economics Mentoring Programme connects you with an older colleague who will tell you what no syllabus says: how to prepare for each course, what the professor expects, in what order to take your exams, and how to organise your time.
What does it look like? Relaxed, like a chat over coffee. The first meeting is in person, and after that you arrange things in whatever way suits you. Each conversation lasts up to 20 minutes, with no preparation and no obligations. To see how your fellow students experienced the programme in the 2025/26 summer semester, read Experiences from the 2025/26 Mentoring Programme.
How to get a mentor?
- Fill in the application: I want a mentor.
- Apply by: 16 October 2026.
- We will let you know your mentor by email, and you arrange the first meeting together.
The programme is intended for first-, second- and third-year students. It runs in the fall semester of the 2026/27 academic year.
You don't have to do it all alone. Someone has already walked the same path.
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), as a partner in Across – the European Cross-Border University, an alliance of ten European universities supported by the EU (https://www.across-alliance.eu/), is implementing peer mentoring activities for UNIBL students as part of strengthening students' soft skills, within Task T1.3 Cross-border Careers for Students and Staff.
