The Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, invites second-, third- and fourth-year students, as well as absolvent students, to apply for the Mentoring System and become mentors to junior colleagues during the fall semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
In the pilot cycle carried out in the previous semester (spring semester 2025/2026), ten of our students volunteered as mentors to about twenty junior colleagues, with excellent feedback from both sides. You can read about their experience at the link.
We are continuing our efforts to enhance the student experience, ease junior students' adjustment to university life, and reduce the number of students who discontinue their studies.
Being a mentor does not require extensive preparation or a large time commitment - based on the experience of previous mentors, a few short conversations during the semester, in person or online, are enough to help junior colleagues find their way around the Faculty. Each mentor may be assigned up to five junior colleagues.
Applications are submitted through an online form: become a mentor, where you can also find more information about a mentor's responsibilities. The application deadline is October 10, 2026 (Monday) at 22:00.
Students who remain interested after this deadline may contact us directly by email at dragana.preradovic@ef.unibl.org. Participation in the Mentoring System is entirely voluntary, and it is possible to withdraw at any time via the withdrawal link.
