June 23, 2026

Professor Mirjana Milijević from the Faculty of Economics and Professor Tamara Pribišev Beleslin from the Faculty of Philosophy represented the University of Banja Luka during the second EU study visit organised within the Erasmus+ project Transforming Business Education with AI in Western Balkans: Innovating Education for the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs – TBEAI.

The study visit was held from 9 to 11 June 2026 at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, bringing together representatives of partner higher education institutions from the European Union and the Western Balkans.

The first working day focused on Work Package 2 and the finalisation of the proposed master’s curriculum. Through joint workshops, the partners discussed the curriculum structure, the content of future courses, and approaches to integrating artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship into contemporary business education.

The programme also presented current research projects implemented at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science. Participants visited the FRIDA high-performance computing cluster and learned about the work of the Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Competence Centre, including examples of AI applications in research, education, and industry.

The visit also included the launch of Work Package 3, a meeting of the project Steering Committee, and discussions on the next steps in curriculum development, institutional capacity building, and the transfer of European experience and good practices to Western Balkan universities.

TBEAI is funded under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education – Strand 2 programme. It aims to modernise business education by integrating artificial intelligence into curricula, developing the competencies of academic staff and students, establishing AI hubs, and strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and the business sector.

The participation of the University of Banja Luka contributes to the development of its teaching and research capacities, interdisciplinary cooperation, and the application of contemporary AI solutions in education. For the Faculty of Economics, the outcomes are particularly relevant to the modernisation of business education, the further development of the Business Informatics study programme, and future activities of the Laboratory for Electronic Business.
