The Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, in cooperation with Fachhochschule Burgenland GmbH from Austria, is organizing the ninth Summer School of Croatian and German Languages, to be held from 9 to 29 July 2017.
The programme is designed for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, regardless of their field of study, who would like to improve their German language skills. Classes are held every working day, comprising a total of 60 hours of language instruction, as well as tandem learning with an Austrian participant (participants are also accommodated in twin rooms with an Austrian participant). Participants are divided into groups according to their level of German proficiency, while the instructors are professors from Austrian universities. The programme also includes organized field classes, workshops, excursions and film evenings. At the end of the summer school, participants take an examination and receive a certificate of completion. This year, students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro are also eligible to apply.
The costs of the summer school—including accommodation in twin rooms, half board, tuition costs, organized excursions and other accompanying activities—are covered by the Austrian Ministry of Science. Participants are responsible for the costs of travelling to and from the summer school and are required to pay a participation fee of HRK 1,800.00, with the option of paying in two instalments.
