Project Description
The TBEAI project aims to transform and modernize business education in the Western Balkans through the systematic integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the curricula of higher education institutions. The project responds to the growing demands of the labor market and the digital economy, with a particular focus on strengthening the competencies of students, teaching staff, and institutions in the field of AI-driven digital business transformation.
A special contribution of the project lies in the development of modern master’s study programs, the improvement of existing curricula, the introduction of innovative teaching methodologies, and the strengthening of cooperation between the academic community and the business sector in the Western Balkans region.
Key Project Objectives
- enhancement of business education through the integration of artificial intelligence into study programs,
- development and modernization of master’s study programs in the field of AI in business,
- capacity building of higher education institutions for research and innovation in the field of AI,
- establishment of AI hubs at partner universities,
- strengthening cooperation between universities and the business sector to foster innovation and digital transformation,
- improvement of teaching staff and student competencies for the application of AI in a modern business environment.
Key Activities and Results
- analysis of existing study programs and identification of needs for integrating AI-related content,
- development and improvement of curricula in the fields of business and artificial intelligence,
- development and implementation of innovative teaching methodologies (blended learning, project-based and problem-based learning),
- establishment and operational strengthening of AI hubs at partner universities,
- training of teaching staff through workshops, seminars, and study visits to partner institutions in the EU,
- strengthening cooperation with the business sector through joint projects, research activities, and the application of AI solutions in business practice.
Expected Impact
The TBEAI project will contribute to a significant improvement in the quality of business education in the Western Balkans, strengthen the research and innovation capacities of universities, and enhance the alignment of educational programs with labor market needs. In the long term, the project will support the development of digitally competent professionals, encourage AI-based innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of higher education institutions and the economy in the region.
The participation of the Laboratory for Electronic Business of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka in the TBEAI project represents an important step toward the modernization of teaching content, the internationalization of teaching and research activities, and the development of competencies in the field of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
