Strategic leadership is a very complex managerial activity of influencing others to work hard to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Influence involves developing trust and enthusiasm between people so that they can develop their talents and abilities. In addition to vision, leadership includes a whole range of other issues related to influence, such as motivating, communicating, the ability to work in a team, maintaining interpersonal relationships, and more. There are many different types of leaders. Their orientation towards two basic functions is often taken as a criterion - achieving the goals and objectives of the organization and orientation towards people. There are three major approaches to leadership: a) trait theories, b) behavioral theories, c) situational theories.
Autocratic type - they are mostly task-oriented. In achieving them, they rely on coercion, fear and punishment. Such leaders have a very pronounced negative attitude towards the opinions and advice of associates. The democratic type - who is oriented towards the people. He does not depend only on his abilities, but encourages the participation of associates in solving problems and making decisions.
